I am SO VERY PROUD of my niece. Lydia is an All Star goalie herself so Thomas winning the game and making the Olympic team was all the more memorable for her. I watched the game on TV - but to see the game through her eyes is so much better. Imagine being ten-years old and having a story to tell her children. Imagine that.............

This is a great recap. We too were there and were frustrated at the first part of the game when everyone was standing and it was hard to see. The crowd finally sat down in our section, though, so we could see everything that was going on. It was quite an amazing site, and I'm so fortunate that our entire family was able to attend. I forgot about the Lets Go Bruins vs. Lets Go Flyers chant...but how about when the entire crowd started to spontaneously chant "Yankees Suck". The Flyers people had no idea what on earth was going on...and I think they thought we were all crazy when tens of thousands of us started singing Sweet Caroline. The Flyers fans around us didn't seem to know what do make of it. A fun day, indeed.
